Refreshing optimism and radical hope echo through the lyric and melody of ethereal artist ZOE. All the while, not shying away from evident truths.
The sonic worlds created by ZOE came about through exploring the edges of everywhere and finding a world in need of reimagining, and the songs to do that. ZOE’s gentle but powerful presence will take you on a journey, led by inviting vocals and artful accompaniment.
ZOEs songwriting journey began young, at a suburban home in the world’s most isolated city of ‘Perth, Western Australia.’ Surrounded by family whose musical influences spanned many genres, ZOE began writing songs influenced by this musical tapestry as young as five or six.
A tree-change during childhood meant an upbringing in a small town in the South-West allowed this songwriting to flourish. Here, ZOE fronted bands in high-school and appeared live at local events.
ZOE moved to the east coast of ‘Australia’ settling into the ‘Melbourne’ music scene to study and put together a live band. Around this time ZOE put on a number of shows and also collaborated with different musicians to form the lineups of these bands who had regular contributing members.
Returning to solo performing, ZOE appeared at festivals, bars, street corners, and many locations around the continent as a live performer before settling into the journey of production.
Decades of experience now coalesce into a visionary solo project.
